Avoiding a Dry Spell – another tip for winter skin :-)

This is a super-quick easy tip. The easiest. So if you’re like me, and in winter you need a little extra something to keep your skin looking and feeling smooth, healthy and resilient, read on!

Use Y natural 603 BALANCE Certified Organic Jojoba on the areas most prone to dryness… It’s magic, with healing properties as well as excellent moisturising properties.  Scientific research has shown that Jojoba can increase skin softness by up to 37% and will reduce superficial lines and wrinkles up to 25% upon application (up to 11% after 8 hours).

Every morning after moisturising, gently press a drop or two into the laughter lines around the eyes, smile lines by your cheeks, across your upper lip and your neck. You will notice a difference – especially when you do those things that can make your skin dry and susceptible to chapping: being out in the winter wind, out for a run in the elements, or in the air conditioning at work, warming yourself by a heater or after a soak in the bath.

Keep a bottle in your desk at work and apply a little more during your lunch break if you’re about to go out into the elements, and then again when you come back. Just a drop. You don’t need much. Another drop before heading out at the end of the day. Your skin will love you for it.

If you’re particularly dry or sensitised, you can even use 603 BALANCE as a gentle cleansing oil – massage a couple of drops and use a warm damp face-washer to freshen the skin. Then follow with 601 NOURISH as your night treatment for 8 hours of overnight skin deliciousness.

Jojoba is recommended for people who suffer from sensitive skin conditions including psoriasis and eczema, so this is an extra bonus if you have a cold-weather flare up of one of these conditions.

This is not just for if you’re a sensitive skin person, by the way. If you’re a no-fuss minimalist, or wanting to travel with minimal bottles in your luggage, use 603 BALANCE as your cleanser and as your moisturiser. It’s great for removing waterproof mascara, for rubbing into your cuticles, scars, elbows and heels, and for smoothing the dry ends of your hair. Its antibacterial and antiseptic qualities make it perfect to use after waxing. It also has slight sunscreen properties. There’s just so much to love about this amazingly versatile product!

Just remember, a little goes a long way. More is not better. More is just a waste. A drop or two at a time is plenty – remember this and the bottle will last you for months!

This really IS magic – your personal potion to break a dry spell 🙂

PS the header picture is of our wonderful intern from France, Cassandre, when we were visiting Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island. I’ll tell you more about those rocks one of these days and I’ll even enclose some other gratuitous pics of kangaroos, seals, echidnas, koalas and pelicans. Really, it’s not trouble. It would be my pleasure 😉
